20 Random Things about Izzatulisme

-Cubaan menbuat popping di belakang surau-
Surau SABDA 2010
Malam Kemuncak Kokurikulum

Selama ni kalau orang tanya aku soalan tipikal macam "Describe briefly about yourself". Dan ada jugak orang pernah kata aku ni hati kering a.k.a heartless. Macam-macam kan? Aku pun naik pelik je.

Jadi, aku pun terfikir nak buat entri ni. Orang putih kata"The Other Side of Me". =D
Setelah di kepilkan bersama, inilah dia hasilnya :- *angkat-angkat kening

The Worst Prediction.

Today wasn't like those days back then. With the changing of the calendar, everyone becomes a Nostradamus, expounding their technology predictions for 2008. In order to put this flood of prophecies into some context, here are some of the worse predictions of all time. I found this while doing my website-seeing. And they are just spectacular. To make it worst, some predictions, I should say, were kind of absurd. You don't believe me? Just read them through and you'll nodded your head to me. As usual, those in the brackets(..) are my thoughts and the others are just a statement made by them.

1. YouTube will go nowhere
"There's just not that many videos I want to watch," lamented Steve Chen, a co-founder of YouTube, in March 2005. At the time YouTube featured about 50 videos. Less than two years later, on November 13 2006, Google acquired YouTube for US$1.65 billion in Google stock.
(Okay, I love watching YouTube. And thousands people out there are just like me. How can say YouTube will go nowhere?)

2. The Millennium Bug
This is not attributed to anyone in particular, but rather anyone and everyone with a propensity to fear the worst. Yes, you -- you that began stocking canned food and rifle ammunition in your basement right before New Year's Eve 1999. While some considerable funds were spent to protect against any problems, and around the world a few minor faults were reported, it certainly wasn't the end of human civilisation as some had feared.

3. The death of the iPod
Over the years, many have predicted the iPod would be a fad: most famously Amstrad founder, Sir Alan Sugar, who said in February 2005 that by "next Christmas the iPod will be dead, finished, gone, kaput". Of course today the iPod continues to power along, with Apple claiming to have sold over 100 million units.
(Ohoho.. Just so you know, people are still trying to get this awesome iPod in store right now!)

4. Photocopiers are niche
"The world potential market for copying machines is 5,000 at most," IBM told the eventual founders of Xerox in 1959. According to Wikipedia, by 1961 Xerox had almost US$60 million in revenue, and this value had leapt to US$500 million by 1965. (Try imagine,if photocopiers are out of stock? Do we need to use a stone for printing?)

5. The PC was never meant for home use
Many people made this prediction, but most notably Thomas Watson, chairman of IBM said in 1943: "I think there is a world market for maybe five computers". At the time, this may have actually been true. Retrospectively, it's hilarious.
(Disappointingly,it is for home use.)

6. Antitrust won't bother Microsoft
"This antitrust thing will blow over," Bill Gates was quoted as telling a group of Intel executives at a meeting on 11 July, 1995. Perhaps it was more as self-comfort rather than as a prediction: two years later, the antitrust complaints continued to roll in, most recently with Internet browser company Opera filing a complaint with the European Commission.
(Oh,come on Gates. Where the hell did you get such idea?)

7. eBay will be huge in China
"We are on a tear to be the undisputed winner in China," said eBay CEO Meg Whitman on 10 February, 2005. By December 2006, eBay said it would close its operation in China and become instead the junior partner to Tom Online, a Chinese Internet portal and wireless firm.

8. Nobody will ever need more than 640KB of memory
"No one will need more than 637KB of memory for a personal computer. 640KB ought to be enough for anybody," Bill Gates is alleged to have said in 1981. Interestingly, Gates now denies saying this. But so many people believe he did that he may as well have -- and he's certainly no stranger to bad predictions
.See below.(They are being super sarcastic)

9. The death of spam
Another bad prediction from Gates, who declared in January 2004 at the World Economic Forum in Switzerland that spam would be dead in 24 months. Two years later, security firm Barracuda said that in 2007, 95-percent of e-mail messages were spam.
(Okay,this one is super silly!)

10. Windows will never be a 32-bit OS
"We will never make a 32-bit operating system," Bill Gates said at the launch of MSX in 1983. Every version of Windows from then on progressively got bigger peaking currently with Vista's 64-bit operating system.
(Haha.. Gates just love to humiliate himself, isn't he?)

And I'm just wondering, will they make any predictions after this? As for me, you can just throw all those rubbish-crap-unnecessary predictions. They make no sense. Life is unpredictable. Eh,going too serious? Haha. And what's next? You are going to be one of the Nostradamus too? Come, show me what you've got. Ahahahaha.. =)

Its our nature,anyway.

Topik pasal jantina aku rasa macam dah klise sangat kebelakangan ni kan. Tapi tak apa. Dah nama pun fitrah. Kau nak kecoh apa? Okay, take note. KAWAN. Tak ada istilah-istilah boyfriend girlfriendlah bagai. And aku dapati perbezaan tersebut sangatlah ketara. Okay, kau tak faham? Meh sini aku demo sikit.

Situasi 1
"Weh,kasi aku dengar lagu-lagu heartbroken. Aku nak collect banyak-banyak"
L : Oh. Ada banyak. Apa kata kau download lagu "When you're gone" ke, "Afterlife" ke. Itu lagu heartbroken habis.
P : Huh? Heartbroken? Ni apa pasal pulak ni? Cuba cerita kat aku pasal apa kau sedih-sedih ni?

Situasi 2
"Kau ada tisu tak?(sambil lap-lap airmata)"
L : Erm..tak adalah. Sorry. Cuba kau tanya yang lain.
P : Eh,aku tak ada. Kejap, handkerchief pun boleh la. Ni kenapa ni ha? Cuba duduk, tenangkan diri dulu. Cerita kat aku satu-satu.

Situasi 3
"Weh,jom makan."
"Erm. Tak apalah. You go ahead. Aku belum lapar lagi. (sambil termenung muka monyok)"
L : Okay then.
P : Eh,mana boleh macam tu. Kena makan la. Aku tau ko lapar kan? Aku tunggu kau. Jomlah.

Situasi 4
"Aku rasa aku dah fall in love! *wink wink.."
L : Haha. Apa la ko sakai.

P : Pheewwiittt!! Really? Siapa weyh? Siapa? Meh story sikit kat aku. Hehe. Excitednya! "

Situasi 5
"Weh,aku confuse ni. Kau rasa aku patut pilih yang mana?" (*something regarding opinion.)
L : Herm. Depends on you.

This is just a part of what I've experienced. Pandai-pandai lah kau nak kata apa. Nanti kena label biased pula kan. Entri bersifat gender? Oh,tidak sama sekali. Haha. Mana lah tahu kau pun pernah experience sama macam aku kan? =P

-Jamuan Hari Raya 2010 SABDA-

Oh. Oh. =D

p/s : Melihat orang dengan telatah dan ingat semula, nothing is better than that. Fantastically, everyone thinks the same. (proverb rojak aku. Sekian.)

Informal Education? Yes,please.

What do you say if a Pan-Asian girl does not even know how to speak English where her father is an English man? And what should you say if a Chin-dian(which is a mix blood of Indian and Chinese) boy does not even know how to speak Chinese when his father is a Chinese man. Well, that's exactly what I feel here. Okay. Okay. You got me. I'm being extra exaggerate here. But here's the truth. Its obvious I'm not a Pan-Asian girl who has such those blue or some kind of hazel eyes nor pretty shiny blonde hair.

Javanese-Malay is what I am originally. And I bet most of the Malaysian here are just like me. You know, this so-called "mix" blood is kind of getting increase its population. But something that really tickled me off is that how can I call myself as a Javanese when I don't even know how to speak the language. Cewah cewah Izzatul, cakap Melayu hang tak mau. Cakap orang putih bukan main naa..Yang hang dok bercakap orang putih ni pasai apa? Dah habis Mat Salleh la dok speaking berhabuk sampai tak ingat bahasa sendiri? Tak sedaq diri betui. Mulut pun bau belacan, tempoyak. Ada hati nak jadi Mat Salleh. Haha.. =D

Since the last two moths, I've been spending the most quality pleasure time with my family and all I can say ; I understand now how INFORMAL EDUCATION works. Setelah beberapa faktor pemangkin yang aku fikir agak logik untuk dijadikan sebab, aku rasa Ayah rindu kampung halaman dia. Dekat rumah memanglah Ayah mana pernah nak cakap Jawa dengan kitorang adik-beradik. Sebab tu lah aku ni satu apa pun aku tak tau. Terang hati bhai aku! Kau nak belajar cakap Jawa? Meh sini.

Are they serious?

Website-seeing is always hectic. And I know I should do that more often. You would never know what might come to you or what you might come into. And I saw these interesting facts. Just want to do some sharing. The one in the bold is the facts, and those in the brackets are what I thought after reading them. Trust me. You never know what is beyond your limitation until you reached them.

  • The storage capacity of human brain exceeds 4 Terrabytes. (I think I have some damaged with mine. It tends to be forgetful nowadays. Hermm..)
  • Take your height and divide by eight. That's how tall your head is! (So,head is 1/8 from the total height? I wonder what is the height of the feet. )
  • Flies are deaf. (So you won't chase them away by shouting. That should be clearly explained why we keep on waving our hands to keep them away)
  • It's impossible to kill yourself by holding your breath. (So please, don't try to to commit suicide by doing this. It's not going to work. That's why we never heard such news)
  • TYPEWRITER is the longest word that can be made using the letters only on one row of the keyboard. (And I immediately laid on my eyes on keyboard. Aren't you doing the same?)
  • 'Go', is the shortest complete sentence in the English language. (Oh,I thought it was always an awesome incomplete sentence.)
  • Ice Cream is chinese food! (OMG, for the whole lifetime I've always thought it origins from Western)
  • Pepsi originally contained pepsin, thus the name. (So,should there be any trypsi that contained trypsin? )
  • "Stewardesses" is the longest word that is typed with only the left hand. (How about the right hand? Herm..)
  • Men can read smaller print than women can; women can hear better. (That answers why "men tend to fall in love with what they see and women tend to fall from what they hear")
  • Like fingerprints, everyone's tongue print is different. (So,if you are trying to find a person who does not have fingers, you can always count on tongue.)
  • Out of all the senses, smell is most closely linked to memory.(Now I understand why people under amnesia should be more often smell anything related to their past.)
  • Most dust particles in your house are made from dead skin! (For all this while, I'd been sweeping and cleaning my own dead skin!! Bahahaha..)
  • In ancient Japan, public contests were held to see who could fart the loudest and longest! (Just imagine, if they held it here! I wonder if there is any audience would be standing there, watching it. I mean, who could stand variety smells of fart? )
  • The inventor of the Waffle Iron did not like waffles. (Does it make any sense Alexander Graham Bell also did not use any phones in his whole lifetime?)
  • No matter its size or thickness, no piece of paper can be folded in half more than 8 times. (I should try this)
  • Most lipstick contains fish scales! (How about lipbalm? )
  • The best time for a person to buy shoes is in the afternoon. This is because the foot tends to swell a bit around this time. (My Science teacher once told me about this)
  • The Mona Lisa has no eyebrows. It was the fashion in Renaissance Florence to shave them off!(It's pretty clear from the painting ,I mean, if you look at it thoroughly)

p/s : And those facts really get me thinking deeper and laughed my heart out. Yeah, you know now what you might consider as all of the "whatnot" thingy.
